PBJV Wins Contract for Kebabangan Project off Sabah
Barakah Offshore Petroleum Berhad's wholly-owned unit PBJV Group Sdn Bhd received a letter of award Friday from Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company Sdn Bhd (KPOC) for the provision of dewatering, drying and dry preservation of 14 inch and 24 inch KBB Linepipes for Kebabangan Northern Hub Development Project, located off the northwest coast of Sabah, Malaysia.
The contract is worth between $6.22 million and $7.78 million (MYR 20 million to MYR 25 million).
"The work for the contract is expected to commence in 4Q 2013 and is expected to be completed by 1Q 2014," Barakah Offshore Petroleum said in an announcement on local stock exchange Bursa Malaysia.
The Kebabangan project is scheduled to start up in 2014.
PBJV provides pipeline services; offshore transportation and installation; topside major maintenance and hook-up commissioning; EPCC (engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning) onshore pipeline & construction; underwater services; and ship management and chartering.
