PV Shipyard Wins $200M Deal to Build Tam Dao 05 Jackup for Vietsovpetro
Vietsovpetro, a joint venture between Russia's OAO Zarubezhneft and PetroVietnam, signed a contract, valued at $200 million, with PetroVietnam Marine Shipyard (PV Shipyard) Nov. 1 to build a jackup, Tam Dao 05, at PV Shipyard in Vung Tau, Vietnam, local media reported.
Construction of the JU2000E-design Tam Dao 05, with classification by ABS, will take 32 months, and the jackup is scheduled for delivery around mid-2016.
Upon completion, Tam Dao 05 will join Tam Dao 03 (300' ILC), which was delivered to VietsovPetro by PV Shipyard in March 2012.
