Shell Restarts Production from Brent Delta Platform

Production restarted on Saturday from Shell's Brent Delta Platform located in the U.K. sector of the North Sea. The shutdown was caused by an oil leak on May 4th.

The platform was shut down and non-essential workers were evacuated after a leak of an oil and water mix. Workers were returned the same day, with no injuries, after the release was stopped.

The platform produces an average of 10,000 barrels per day of oil and 16 million cubic feet of gas per day.
