Central Petroleum Completes Seismic Campaign in South Georgina Basin
Australia's junior exploration and production Central Petroleum Limited (Company or Central) reported Wednesday that the $6.7 million (AUD 7 million) seismic campaign conducted in Authority to Prospects (ATPs) 909, 911 and 912 in the Southern Georgina Basin, Queensland in Australia completed recording of 611.4 line miles (984 line kilometers) of data some nine days early and on budget. The data will now be processed with the results becoming available for interpretation in the first quarter of next year.
“As Operator, Central is pleased to have been able to carry out this large program efficiently and without incident,” said Richard Cottee, managing director of Central Petroleum Limited. “This seismic is a necessary building block for the major drilling campaign planned for the next calendar year.”
