AGR Appoints New Norwegian Rig Team Head
Norwegian oilfield services firm AGR announced Thursday that it has appointed Jorunn Saetra to lead the company's Norwegian Rig Team and manage the company's expanding Stavanger office.
Saetra has more than 30 years' experience in the international energy industry and previously worked in Houston, holding the role of vice president at Halliburton with responsibility for technology and production-enhancement activities. Before that, she was Country VP for Halliburton Scandinavia for 10 years.
Saetra was also named "Oil Woman of the Year" by the Stavanger Society of Petroleum Engineers.
AGE Executive Vice President for Norway and Russia Sjur Talstad commented in a company statement:
"Jorunn is a very highly regarded figure throughout the oil and gas industry in Norway and around the world and we are delighted she has joined us.
"Her experience and expertise will be invaluable to us as leader of our Rig Team in Norway, working to secure rigs and get best rig pricing as part of AGR's global strategy to help our clients save costs and resources.
"Jorunn joins our successful Stavanger office at an exciting time, following recent expansions there and a move to new premises in the Forus area."
