EFC Group Plans to Recruit 50 People in Northern Scotland

Oil and gas industry equipment supplier EFC Group announced Tuesday that it plans to recruit up to 50 people in the Highlands region of Scotland as part of its growth strategy.

EFC – which designs and makes instrumentation and handling and control systems for the oil and gas sector – said the move is part of its expansion of its base at Forres in the north of Scotland. The company opened its second site at Forres's Enterprise Park in May. A satellite park had already been opened in the same business park in September 2012.

"In order for EFC to fulfill future growth and expansion plans, we have identified the potential to recruit up to 50 staff for the Forres plant," EFC Group CEO Bob Will said in a company statement.

EFC currently employs 18 people at Forres. New personnel sought for the region include project and software engineers to design and project manage the firm's product line.

"We are seeking to draw on the talent pool, the wealth of experience and expertise we know exists in the Highlands, to help realize our expansion plans. By having a Forres base we are able to tap into this and offer an alternative to those who are tired of the commute to Aberdeen."
