COSL Wins Contracts to Build 15 Vessels

China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL) signed agreements to construct 15 vessels recently, with delivery scheduled between January and August 2015.

The 15 vessels will include one output enhancement vessel, four 6,000 horsepower (HP) platform supply vessels (PSVs), two 9,000HP PSVs, two 8,000HP anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS), four 12,000HP AHTS and two 15,000HP AHTS.

The 15 vessels will be constructed in five shipyards in China.

"Commissioning of construction of these vessels represents a major inroad by COSL to implement its 'structural adjustment, deepwater and high-end' strategies for large-scale equipment, which will further enhance the Company's capabilities in deepwater operations, addressing China's demand for offshore oil and gas exploration and development," COSL said in a company release.

COSL is an integrated oilfield services provider in the offshore China market, focusing on geophysical services, drilling services, well services, marine and transportation services.
