Roxi's Well 143 to Hit Target Depth within a Week

Kazakhstan-focused Roxi Petroleum reported Friday that Well 143 on the MJ-F structure that the company is targeting in the South Yelemes field will reach its total depth of 9,020 feet within a week. Roxi said the well had already reached 8,265 feet at midnight on June 12.

Well 143 is targeting Jurassic Callovian sands with a secondary objective in the Cretaceous Valanginian limestone.

Well 143 is just one well that the company is drilling on the firm's BNG contract area during 2013. Roxi confirmed that, as well as the well currently drilling, it intends to drill two deep wells on the BNG this year: the first will be drilled to a depth of 15,420 feet and the second will be drilled to 13,780 feet.
