Range's QUN 142 Well in Production
Junior explorer Range Resources reported Monday that its QUN 142 well onshore Trinidad is currently producing 75 barrels of oil per day. In an operations update, Range said that the well had been put into production after reaching its target depth of 1,255 feet.
Range also reported that the Upper Cruse zone in its QUN 135 well has been successfully perforated and will be put into production this week after a 72-hour flow test at rates of up to 150 bopd.
Meanwhile, three production rigs have been placed into operation and have completed remedial work on 14 wells , which have added an estimated 95 bopd to current production.
Range also confirmed that logs at its QUN 141 well indicate 160 feet of gross oil pay, describing this as "one of the thickest Lower Forest pay sections to be encountered to date". The well has been perforated and production is anticipated at between 75 and 100 bopd.
Range said a further 60 bopd is expected to be added this week through planned work on another 15 wells. Then, an estimated additional 90 bopd from the re-entry of the QUN 16 well and optimization of the QUN 120 and 128 wells is expected during the coming weeks.
The QUN 143 and QUN 144 wells have spud and both are drilling to a target depth of 1,000 feet. These wells are expected to perform at production rates of between 50 and 75 bopd.
Overall, the production activities that Range summarized in its update are expected to result in field production in Trinidad getting over 1,200 bopd.
