Sonoran Acquires Scottsdale Oil Field Services Limited

Sonoran Energy President and CEO Peter Ostenfeld-Rosenthal reports that the Company has acquired Scottsdale Oil Field Services Limited, an independent oil and gas services company. The acquisition will increase Sonoran's operational capacity in North America, and assist in the Company's expansion into the Middle East. Ostenfeld-Rosenthal also announced that Scottsdale Oil Field Services President William (Bill) McFie will become Sonoran's Vice President North America Operations and manage the Company's field operations.

Scottsdale Oil Field Services Limited is an Independent Company established in 1995 to provide outsourcing services to the Oil and Gas Industry. The Company's management and team of oil and gas operational staff and consultants have many years of experience in North America, the UK, Africa, South America, Pakistan, Australia and Asia. The company specializes in providing engineering, reservoir, drilling (including deep water), financial, commercial, materials management, systems and procedures, environmental and operational services to the Oil & Gas Industry through the placement of the company's highly qualified personnel. Scottsdale's clients and past clients include: BP/Amoco, BHP (Americas) Ltd., ConocoPhillips, Kerr-McGee, Pennzoil, Petrodrill, and Scottish Oil.

"In addition to coordinating Sonoran's offices and deploying operational personnel, Bill McFie and the team at Scottsdale Oil Field Services add a wide range of skills and expertise to the day to day operations in the US and to the Iraq oil and gas fields under consideration."

Bill McFie is a graduate of Strathclyde University, Glasgow, with an honors degree in Chemical Engineering. He joined AMOCO (UK) as a petroleum engineer in 1970, working in the Southern Gas basin of the North Sea before moving to a number of smaller companies to gain experience in the developing sub-sea technology of the Northern North Sea. He then moved to Sun Oil Company and helped expand the company through the development of the Balmoral Field using the first custom built offshore floating production platform. He held various senior management positions principally in the international arena as VP and General Manager in Gabon, Operations Manager in Argentina before returning to the UK, as International Operations Manager controlling all of Sun's International Operations. After Sun Oil he worked for a number of Independent Companies helping to establish their operations in Yemen, Namibia, Angola and Congo, before working as Technical Director for Ranger Oil Company in Pakistan on the Quadipur Gas Development. In 1995 he became President of Scottsdale where his primary focus has been the technical and commercial evaluation of properties for investment as well as project management including well and field development planning and operational supervision.
