New Offshore Engineer Joint Ventured Formed
INTEC Engineering (U.K.) Ltd. and Petrofac U.K. Ltd. have established a U.K. based joint venture, PETROFAC-INTEC. The primary purpose of this joint venture is to pursue and execute deepwater and other challenging offshore oil and gas development projects where the combined INTEC and PETROFAC expertise from a U.K. base provides added value for clients.
INTEC, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is recognised as the established leader in deepwater pipeline and subsea production systems engineering and marine aspects of FSO/FPSO's, and currently has major involvement in several world class projects including the BP Amoco Mardi Gras Pipeline System (6000 ft.), TotalFinaElf Canyon Express Subsea Production System (7250 ft.) and the marine and subsea aspects of the Texaco Agbami FPSO (4500 ft.). INTEC already has established a team of 30 specialized subsea and pipeline engineers based in London in a consortium with Bechtel, implementing the procurement phase of the Burullus Gas West Delta Deep development offshore Egypt, the first deepwater hydrocarbon development project in the Mediterranean Sea.
With major operation centres in Sharjah, Texas and London, the Petrofac Group provides a complete solution for oil and gas surface production facilities from Conceptual Engineering and FEED, Project Investment, EPC Execution through Process Facilities Management. The company is presently executing major lump sum EPC contracts in North Africa, the Middle East, Russia and the Americas.
