Norway's PSA Gives Go Ahead for Use of Troll Satellite Well

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has granted Norsk Hydro consent for use of the Troll Oil Gas Province (TOGP) 31/3-Q21 satellite well. Production will be routed to Troll C.

The installation consists of a well slot structure for a single well to be connected to one 8" flexible production pipeline and associated control line at a distance of 5.5 km from Troll C. The pipeline and control line are trenched.

Production from Q21 will be routed into the already existing production facility on Troll C, and will be operated as an integrated part of operations on the installation.

Planned start-up for oil production from this well is the end of April 2004.
