Peak Group Appoints New Manager in Houston Office

The Peak Group has appointed Matt Abell as Performance Engineering Manager in the Houston office.
This appointment brings the number of people working in the expanding Houston office, which opened a year ago, to four. Matt, who has been working in the Gulf of Mexico for the last three years, will be working with various operators on an international scale to help implement performance management software, tools and processes to improve well construction performance.
Matt, who originally started his career in Scotland, joins The Peak Group with eight years expertise in a wide variety of well operations. From deep-water development in the Gulf of Mexico, to remote area exploration in Algeria, his excellent engineering skills are balanced with significant wellsite operational experience.
The Peak Group Vice President, Michael Williams said: "Matt's international and Gulf of Mexico experience gives him a very thorough understanding of what it takes to deliver best-in-class performance in well construction. He will be a huge asset in terms of helping The Peak Group provide world class performance management services in North America."
On his new role at The Peak Group, Matt said: "Peak's understanding of probabilistics and the way they provide solutions for operators to improve various activities associated with delivering wells, is second to none. I am thrilled to be working with a leading edge company such as The Peak Group."
