Heritage Oil Successful In Congo

Heritage Oil Corporation reports that the M'Boundi well flowed at 1,476 barrels per day of 39 degrees API crude oil with no water or sediment production, through a 32/64" choke. The test was conducted over an interval of 112 feet within the main Vandji reservoir; the well test was partially constrained by the well completion and available test facilities.

The M'Boundi well reached TD at 6,968 feet in basement with a logged oil column of 410 feet within the Vandji sandstone. No oil/water contact was logged. The Vandji is the same reservoir unit as at the Kouakouala field currently under development and located 12 miles to the south east of M'Boundi.

The preliminary mapping of the M'Boundi structure suggests that this could be potentially a very significant oil accumulation, and is provisionally evaluated to have potential reserves in excess of 100 million barrels. Heritage and its partners are making final plans for the appraisal program prior to the finaliziation of development plans.
