Searcher Seismic Updates High-Res Gig in Barents Sea

Searcher Seismic Pty Ltd announced a high resolution 3D multi-client seismic survey (Gulspurv 3D) over the Bjornoya Fault Complex in the Norwegian Barents Sea.

Following a very successful 2D multi-client survey earlier in the year a niche area has been high graded and is now the focus of the 3D campaign.

The high resolution 3D seismic survey of 734 square miles (1,900 square kilometers) will in particular target the shallow prospective sedimentary section along the Bjornoya Fault Complex located in the proposed 22 round acreage release area about 19 miles (30 kilometers) north of the recent giant Skrugard and Havis oil discoveries (500 MMbbl + recoverable reserves).

The first data is schedule to be delivered to the participating companies in 3Q 2012.
