Santos Commences Drilling at Cuisinier Appraisal
Senex Energy Limited (Senex) has been advised by Santos Limited, the operator of the ATP 752P Joint Venture, that the Cuisinier-4 oil appraisal well has commenced drilling.
At 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, the well had reached a depth of 1,024 feet (312 meters) and 9 5/8" surface casing had been set prior to drilling ahead Tuesday.
Cuisinier-4 is approximately 1,969 feet (600 meters) north west of the Cuisinier-1 discovery well and is targeting a total depth of 5,771 feet (1,759 meters). The primary target is the oil-bearing sands of the Murta Member.
Cuisinier-4 is the first of three appraisal wells and one exploration well that the Joint Venture has planned for the Barta Block in coming months.
Senex holds a 15 percent interest in ATP 752P (Barta Block).
