Craig International Wins Supply Contract from Total

Craig International Supplies Ltd. has won a three-year supply agreement with Total E&P UK PLC, worth approximately £500,000. The work will involve the provision of general oilfield products to Total's Alwyn and Central Graben areas in the North Sea, the St Fergus terminal and their Altens office complex.

The agreement award was unique for The Craig Group in that it was won through an e-auction tendering process. This involves a pre-qualification process to select companies who can take part and then these suppliers bidding to win the agreement on-line with the client.

CIS Managing Director, David Allan, says: "We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Total. Previously, we have done work for them on a smaller scale for their terminal at St Fergus. We will be demonstrating our ability to provide a cost-effective, quality service to them and hope that it may lead to increased business with them overseas.

"CIS continues to grow rapidly both at home and overseas. We have more than tripled our turnover in our first five years. From a turnover of £5 million in 1998, we are now reaching £18 million, with international business accounting for 65%."

The company, one of the nine divisions of global shipping and oilfield services group - The Craig Group, has transformed itself from an Aberdeen firm supplying companies operating in the North Sea to a truly international player with contracts in Angola, Nigeria, The Congo, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Norway.

CIS provides a comprehensive range of products and services to oilfield operations and projects. From its considerable inventory and an extensive database of Quality Assured suppliers, CIS can supply the entire range of products for all seismic, drilling, exploration and production.
