Multiwave Geophysical Adds New Senior Specialists

Multiwave Geophysical has further strengthened its Geoservices team through the appointment of a new Senior Scientist and Chief Field Geophysicist. The appointments will significantly enhance Multiwave's product development and operational capabilities, as well as the growth of its recently formed Geoservices Division.

Joining Multiwave from the Physics Institute of Oslo University – where he was a Senior Lecturer – Patrick Guio will fulfill the role of Senior Scientist, focusing on the development of processing software for onboard seismic QC. With a background in computer coding for waves in plasma applications, and as a Senior Consultant Programmer at the EISCAT radar in Tromso, Norway, Patrick will have key responsibilities in geophysical research and will report directly to Multiwave's Chief Operation Geophysicist, Christophe Massacand.

Focusing on support for onboard seismic QC, Mike Millington joins Multiwave as Chief Field Geophysicist. With significant experience at Paridigm in the UK, and as project leader onboard 4C vessels for PGS, Mike will be involved in all geophysical aspects of project and survey preparation and implementation. Working closely with Multiwave's Geosupport Group, as well as its Marketing, Sales and Technical Departments, Mike will report directly to Christophe Massacand.

"Patrick and Mike will bring invaluable experience to Multiwave," commented Christophe Massacand. "Their respective levels of expertise provide us with an opportunity to further enhance our new Geoservices division and build on our position as a leading innovator in the seismic industry. Both Patrick and Mike have a proven track record in the seismic market place which will be of real benefit to the ongoing development of the company."
