Silver Star Tests Peace River Arch Well

SilverStar Energy reports that the drilling of the "7-11" well at the Evi Project, located in the prolific Peace River Arch region of northern Alberta, was drilled to a total depth of 5,087 feet (1570 meters). Mr. Robert McIntosh, President of SilverStar reports from SilverStar's Bakersfield California field office that following the running of a suite of well logs, Transaction Oil and Gas Ventures, the operator of the Evi Project, has advised the Company that two zones, having the potential for the presence of oil will be drill stem tested (D.S.T.). The first zone to be tested is a 23-foot (7.0 meter) section of the main objective of the well, the Granite Wash sands. A second 23-foot (7.0 meter) zone in the Gillwood Formation will be tested having shown oil in the samples and logs.

In the event of a successful D.S.T., a casing election will be immediately made and well completion can commence. SilverStar anticipates the drill stem testing to take approximately 2-3 days.

The "7-11" well was designed to test the oil bearing Granite Wash Sands formation to a target depth of 1,550 meters (5,085 feet).
