Junex Welcomes New COO
Junex announced that Mr. Peter Dorrins has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company. A geologist by training, Mr. Dorrins has occupied various technical and management functions with a number of North American and International Oil and Gas corporations over more than 30 years. He was already assuming the responsibility of Chief Operating Officer of Junex since June 2008.
As the new President and COO, Mr. Dorrins will take charge of the daily operation of the Company. He will also be responsible for the evaluation and negotiation of business opportunities that may emerge both in Quebec and outside the province. Mr. Dorrins will report to the CEO of Junex, Mr. Jean-Yves Lavoie, who will continue to work in conjunction with the Board of Directors in order to define the global strategic strategies of the Company. Mr. Lavoie will also actively maintain its effort to contribute to improve the social acceptability of Junex's oil and gas projects in Quebec.

Supported by a strong team of managers and professionals, Mr. Dorrins will lead our company to the next phase of growth" commented Mr. Jean-Yves Lavoie, P. Eng., Junex's Chief Executive Officer.
Over the coming months, Junex will focus on better delineating and further developing the potential of its Galt and Anticosti properties where independent evaluations have recently demonstrated significant petroleum potential. The Company will also evaluate investment opportunities outside Quebec.
About Peter Dorrins
Mr. Dorrins has participated in projects worldwide and held key technical specialist and management positions with a number of Oil & Gas companies active both in North-America and Internationally. His expertise includes among others, the definition and establishment of business strategies, the setting up of exploration and production programs and the negotiation of oil and gas agreements. Mr. Dorrins holds a Bachelor of Science - First Class Honours degree in Geology obtained from the University of Manitoba in 1980. He is also registered as a professional geologist with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) and he is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
