Coastal Touts Additional Appraisal Results at Bua Ban
Coastal Energy has successfully appraised the Bua Ban North A-08 well. The well reached a depth of 3,860 feet (1,177 meters) on the western flank of the Bua Ban North A field.
Well A-08 encountered 61 feet (19 meters) of net pay in the Lower Miocene sand with 27% average porosity. Pressure data indicates that this northern extension of Bua Ban North A shares a common oil water contact with the western flank of the Bua Ban North B field. The combined area is estimated to cover 1,700 acres.
The Bua Ban field is located on Block G5/43 in the Gulf of Thailand.
