|Monday, February 23, 2004
Avery Resources and its partners are acquiring 1600 kilometers of 2D seismic data from JEBCO Seismic (U.K.) Limited. The seismic lines comprise part of JEBCO's North Channel Basin seismic database, covering an area of approximately 2,000 square kilometers of the North Irish Sea. The data pertains to the offshore area adjacent to the South Larne license (PL 1/01) within an Area of Mutual Interest defined by the partners in 2003.
The data will cost the partners US$8,500 and is part of Avery's ongoing evaluation of South Larne. Phase II exploration work currently being undertaken by the Institut Francais du Petrole is due to be completed by the end of March.
