OPEC: New Head of National Oil Company to Head Libya's Delegation
LONDON (Dow Jones Newswires), Sep. 28, 2011
The recently appointed head of Libya's National Oil Company, Nuri Berruien, will head the country's delegation to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC said on its website Wednesday.
This is in keeping with the previous practice in Libya where, before the civil war, former NOC Chairman Shokri Ghanem represented the country at OPEC meetings.
The website did not name an OPEC governor for Libya, but said Imad Ben Rajab would be national representative.
Libya has been an OPEC member since 1962.
