Pegasus Wins Vietnam Project

Pegasus International has been awarded the contract for the provision of Project Management Consultancy Services for the PM3-Ca Mau gas pipeline project by Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Project Management Board (CPMB), a subsidiary of PetroVietnam. This project is one part of the overall Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Project, which utilizes natural gas of PM3-CAA field to feed Ca Mau Power plant and Ca Mau Fertilizer plant in the southern Vietnam province of Ca Mau. PetroVietnam is the designated owner and operator of the development.

The pipeline system is designed to transport approximately 2 billion standard cubic meters of gas annually with first gas scheduled for Q3 2005. The offshore section is approximately 298 km and the onshore approximately 27 km from the landfall station to gas distribution station. Personnel provided from Pegasus and CPMB will make up the integrated project management team.

The scope of services provided by Pegasus includes:

  • FEED review / approval assistance
  • Consultancy in EPCC contract technical negotiation
  • Assistance to CPMB in procurement, construction, precommissioning and commissioning period

  • An important aspect of the work includes Training and Technical / Process transfer, which will take place in Pegasus' office in Houston, USA.
