ATP Brings Mirage Well Online in GOM
ATP has commenced oil production at its Mississippi Canyon Block 941 A-2 (No. 4) well in the deepwaters of the Gulf of Mexico. The well is the third well brought online at the Mirage field at the Telemark Hub. The well is flowing at an expected rate of 7,000 boepd.
Well No. 4 encountered four Miocene sands that are about 500 feet structurally higher than the same sands in the MC 941 A-1 well. The operator completed the well at a measured depth of 17,600 feet in the C and D sands. Drilling operations on the fourth well MC 942 No. 2 were approved with production expected to commence later this year.
