OGX Finishes Drilling First Campos HZ Well

OGX has concluded the drilling of horizontal well 9-OGX-39HP-RJS (Pipeline Horizontal), which identified substantial reservoir conditions through a drill-stem test. The OGX-39 well was horizontally drilled for more than 3,281 feet (1,000 meters) into the carbonate reservoirs of the Albian section of the Pipeline accumulation, which was discovered by the 1-OGX-2A-RJS well in November 2009, uncovering new information regarding the development of this area.

The results from the drilling of the OGX-39 well demonstrated a strong correlation with other wells in the Albian section, including calcarenites with excellent porosity with dolomitized and naturally fractured sections – confirming the extension of the Pipeline accumulation.

While performing a DST, the well indicated a production capacity of around 10,000 bopd with an API gravity of about 19 degrees. Pipeline lies in the BM-C-39 block about 55 miles (89 kilometers) off the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro at a water depth of 341 feet (104 meters). OGX wholly owns and operates the block.
