Lundin Spins Bit Offshore Malaysia

Lundin Petroleum has commenced exploratory drilling on the Cempulut prospect, located in Block SB303 offshore Sabah, East Malaysia.

The main objective of the well is to test a large shallow late Miocene carbonate reef with a crestal seismic amplitude anomaly. The Offshore Courageous jackup is drilling the well to a total depth of 3,383 feet (1,031 meters). The well should take about 30 days to complete.

Lundin operates the block with a 75% interest.
