Petrobras Makes O&G Discoveries Offshore Brazil

Petrobras made three new discoveries of oil and gas in Espirito Santo Basin, within the concession area, BM-ES-23, Block ES-M-525.

These new discoveries occurred during the drilling of wells 1-BRSA-939-ESS (1-ESS-199) and 1-BRSA-936D-ESS (1-ESS-200D), informally known as Pe-de-moleque and Quindim, respectively. Petrobras made the third discovery through well 1-BRSA-923D-8-ESS, referred to as Brigadeiro.

The wells are located 71 miles (115 kilometers) away from the coast of the state of Espirito Santo, in a water depth of about 6,234 feet (1,900 meters). Petrobras is the operator of the consortium with a 65% interest; Shell with 20%; and Inpex with 15%.
