Gudrun-2 Development Well Successful

Tap Oil reports that the Gudrun-2 is being drilled as a deviated well from the Harriet Alpha Platform in TL/1 offshore Australia. The well has been drilled to a total depth of 4,088 meters measured depth (1,955 meters true vertical depth subsea).

The well has successfully intersected a 6.6 meter oil column within the Flag Sandstone reservoir section and will now be completed for immediate production via the Harriet Alpha platform. The Gudrun oil field is interpreted to be a small accumulation with reserves to be estimated following re-mapping based on the well results. First oil at a rate of around 2,000 bpd is expected in around one week.

Following the completion of Gudrun-2, the next wells to be drilled will be Taunton-4 and Blackthorn-1 in TP/7. These two wells are planned to appraise separate southeasterly and southerly extensions of the Taunton Oil Field and will be reported on in more detail when they are spudded.

Harriet Joint Venture Participants are Tap Oil as operator with 12.2229%; Apache Energy with 68.5%; and Kufpec Australia with 19.2771%.
