Campos Appraisal Delivers for OGX

OGX has identified the presence of hydrocarbons in the Albian section of well 3-OGX-36D-RJS. Well OGX-36D has confirmed the connectivity of the accumulations in the carbonate reservoirs in the Albian section previously discovered through the discovery well 1-OGX-2A, Pipeline.

The well found an oil column of about 443 feet (135 meters) with a net pay of 197 feet (60 meters). This directional well, drilled to a depth of 11,850 feet (3,612 meters) by the Ocean Star semisub, is a pilot well for the horizontal well that will be drilled next. A drill stem test will be conducted to verify the productivity of this area.

OGX-36D is located in the BM-C-41 block and is situated about 48 miles (77 kilometers) off the coast of Rio de Janeiro at a water depth of about 420 feet (128 meters). OGX wholly owns and operates the block.
