FMC Technologies to Supply Subsea Equipment to Ekofisk Field
FMC Technologies has signed an agreement with ConocoPhillips for the manufacture and supply of subsea equipment and services for a water injection development in the Ekofisk field. The US $75 million award is subject to Norwegian Parliament approval for the Plan for Development and Operation.
The scope of work includes the supply of eight subsea water injection trees and wellheads, two manifolds and control systems, with options for umbilical and additional controls. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2012. The Ekofisk center is located on Blocks 2/4 and 2/7 about 200 miles (322 kilometers) southwest of Stavanger.
