ConocoPhillips Primes Bit for Ekofisk Field

ConocoPhillips has received consent to use the Maersk Innovator jackup for drilling on the Ekofisk 2/4-B field. Sidetrack drilling and other work will be carried out on six production wells on the field. The jackup will move next to the 2/4-B facility and drilling will take place through this facility. Work should last for about 800 days. Ekofisk is located on Blocks 2/4 and 2/7 about 200 miles (322 kilometers) southwest of Stavanger. The complex is operated by ConocoPhillips.
