First Subsea Appoints Sales Manager for Americas
First Subsea has appointed Phil Day as sales manager for North and South America. Mr Day will be responsible for developing the market for First Subsea's growing range of subsea connectors used in deepwater mooring, diverless and ROV-less riser and umbilical connections and other offshore applications.
Phil Day joins First Subsea from UK Trade & Industry (UKTI) where he was an International Trade Advisor, developing export business strategies for North West small to medium size companies. A chartered mechanical engineer, he has business development experience in oil & gas, chemical logistics and transportation, and engineering valves and ancillaries.
"Phil Day's international business development experience will greatly strengthen our America's sales team, as we continue to develop the subsea connection market with innovative applications of our Ballgrab ball and taper technology," said Brian Green, general manager, First Subsea Ltd.
