Survival Craft Inspectorate Opens New Workshop
Survival Craft Inspectorate is expanding its UK operations to meet demand from oil and gas clients operating in the Southern North Sea sector.
The company is investing £750,000 in staffing and equipping new premises on the Harfreys Industrial Estate in Great Yarmouth. The site comprises a large workshop, extensive storage facilities and offices.
Around 10 people will initially be recruited locally for the new Great Yarmouth operation, and this number is expected to grow to 20 during the first 12 months. Among roles to be filled are those of client coordinator, workshop supervisor, receptionist, and service engineers.
Survival Crafts Global business development manager Derek Sinclair said, "This move marks another milestone for Survival Craft and will allow us to better serve our clients with operations in the Southern North Sea.
"We are also confident that having a Great Yarmouth base will help us win new oil and gas business and further expand our presence in this sector."
