BP Expands Presence Offshore Australia
BP received four deepwater offshore blocks in the Ceduna Sub Basin within the Great Australian Bight, off the coast of southern Australia. The four blocks, EPP 37, EPP 38, EPP 39 and EPP 40, cover an area of 5.9 million acres (24,000 square kilometers).
The unexplored deepwater basin has a high potential for containing hydrocarbons, and BP plans to perform the proposed exploration activity in phases over the next six years, as part of the regulatory approval process.SubseaIQ provides focused, in-depth coverage of offshore field development activities around the world, with daily updates on hundreds of offshore fields and facilities.
