Reliance Industries has commenced exploratory drilling on the D9 exploration license in the Krishna Godavari Basin on the East Coast of India. The exploratory well KG-D9-B3 is targeting the hydrocarbon potential of Tertiary aged sands and should reach a depth of 12,566 feet (3,830 meters). The Discoverer India drillship is drilling the well.
