BPZ Places Corvina Field into Commercial Production
The Corvina oil field is now commercially producing, announced BPZ Resources. Gas and water reinjection facilities at the CX-11 Corvina platform were turned on in order to reinject the associated gas and thus avoid gas flaring.
BPZ will now begin reopening the Corvina oil wells that were shut-in due to gas flaring restrictions. The Corvina oil and gas field is situated in the offshore Block Z-1 in northwest Peru.
BPZ Energy acquired a working interest in Block Z-1 in 2001 and became operator with a 100% interest in the license in 2004.SubseaIQ provides focused, in-depth coverage of offshore field development activities around the world, with daily updates on hundreds of offshore fields and facilities.
