KBR Sets Up Shop in Angola

KBR will open an Angola Operating Center based in Luanda. KBR has been operating in Angola since 1968 and has executed a significant number of projects in the region.

KBR is committed to growing its services in Angola and has begun the implementation of a strategic plan for developing its in-country offering. The Angolan Operating Center will offer engineering, project management and construction management services.

"Angola is an important market for KBR. The company has a long history of successful project execution in Angola and our local office will provide KBR the opportunity to combine our global resources with a local operating capability," said William P. Utt, KBR Chairman, President and CEO.

"We are committed to technology transfer that will increase the capabilities of local professionals in the region. KBR has already begun hiring Angolan engineers that will be trained in KBR's international offices before returning to Luanda for project assignments," said Roy Oelking, President, KBR Oil & Gas.
