Halliburton Awarded Gryphon Subsea Contract

Halliburton Subsea, a unit of Halliburton Co., Dallas, was awarded a $3 million contract from Kerr-McGee North Sea UK Ltd. for the installation, testing, and precommissioning of subsea facilities for a step-out well from Gryphon field located on block 9/18 in the UK sector of the North Sea. The well is located approximately 5,900 feet southwest of the existing Gryphon cluster. The scope of the project will consist of the installation, testing, and precommissioning of subsea facilities of a single production well. This will include the installation and tieback of a 6-in. flexible production line and the installation of an associated direct hydraulic umbilical and gas lift line, plus a protection frame around the well. Work is scheduled to begin in the third quarater of 2001.
