NPD Grants Consent for Major Refit at Sleipne

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Statoil consent for major rebuilding on the Sleipner A and Sleipner T platforms. The rebuilding is in connection with the development of the northern part of the Sleipner Vest field, called Alfa Nord.
Some additional equipment will be installed on the T platform, while the modifications on Sleipner A are related to hydrate control, chemical injection and control of the Alfa Nord subsea system.
The installation work will take place in the period January 2004 to November 2004.
