Valiant Drills Duster in North Sea

The Viola North exploratory well has reached total depth, and while the Fulmar sand formation was encountered, hydrocarbons weren't present. The well will be plugged and abandoned as a dry hole. Drilled by the ENSCO 100 jackup, the well reached a depth of about 16,000 feet (4,877 meters). Valiant Petroleum operates the prospect.
