Tullow's Onyina-1 Well All Wet

The Onyina-1 well in the Deepwater Tano license offshore Ghana encountered water-bearing reservoirs. Drilled by the Sedco 702 semisub to a total depth of 8,957 feet (2,730 meters), the well intersected 161 feet (49 meters) of good quality sandstone reservoir but they were water bearing at this location. The semisub will now move to the Jubilee field to assist in preparations for first oil by year-end. Tullow operates the Deepwater Tano license, owning a 49.95% interest, and is partnered by Kosmos Energy Ghana (18%), Anadarko Petroleum (18%), Sabre Oil & Gas (4.05%) and the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) (10% carried interest).
