Pacific Tiger to Test Exploration Well

Pacific Tiger Energy plans to commence production testing on the HP 1 exploratory well onshore Thailand. The HP 1 location is situated approximately 2 km southwest of, and in a distinct geologic structure to, the Company's Wichian Buri oil field.

Drilling commenced on December 4 and the well reached total depth of 1064 meters in nine days. The Company reports that the primary drilling objective, the F sandstone interval, was intersected close to prognosis at 869 meters. The well has been logged and production casing is now being run. The F sandstone will then be perforated over the interval 869-875 meters and completed for testing. Test results will be announced early next year.

The HP well is the first well of the Company's work program announced in November. The work program also includes horizontal and multilateral development wells in the Wichian Buri North oil pool and 3D seismic acquisition in the L44 and L33 exploration licenses. Drilling of the horizontal wells, designated as WB N7 and WB N8, will commence as planned in mid-January.
