Norwegian Output Increases in December

Norwegian output increased in December 2017, according to preliminary production figures released by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) on Tuesday.

The figures show an average daily production of 1.932 million barrels of oil, NGL and condensate in December, which is an increase of 26,000 barrels per day compared to November 2017. Average daily liquids production in December was 1.538 million barrels of oil, 363,000 barrels of NGL and 31,000 barrels of condensate.

Oil production was approximately four percent lower than the NPD’s forecast for December, and about 1.7 percent below the forecast this year.

“The main reasons that production in December was below forecast is that Goliat was closed until the 17th of December and technical problems and maintenance work on some other fields,” the NPD said in a statement on its website.
