Noble CFO Resigns
Noble's senior vice president and chief financial officer has resigned.

Noble Corporation plc has revealed that Adam C. Peakes, the company’s senior vice president and chief financial officer, resigned effective September 9.

A search for Peakes' replacement has begun, according to a statement posted on the company’s website. In the interim, Peakes' direct reports, including individuals responsible for the company's treasury and financial reporting activities, will report directly to Julie J. Robertson - the company’s chairman, president and chief executive officer – Noble revealed.

"Adam has helped Noble navigate the financial challenges the industry faces and to position the company to benefit as the market improves,” Robertson said in a company statement.

“We thank him for his efforts and wish Adam the best of luck in his future endeavors. We are fortunate that we can count on a strong finance and accounting team that will continue to guide the company and are pleased to have solid liquidity and an improving business,” Robertson added.

Noble describes itself as a leading offshore drilling contractor for the oil and gas industry. Back in May this year, the company announced that Barry M. Smith would join Noble as senior vice president of operations. Smith has previously held various operations related roles with Transocean Ltd.
