IOG Appoints Ex-ConocoPhillips Manager
Independent Oil and Gas plc (IOG) has announced the appointment of Neil Hawkings as an independent non-executive director of the company.
Hawkings, who is 58 years old, was appointed following an external search process. He has over 35 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas sector and has held various senior management positions at ConocoPhillips and Premier Oil.
“I am delighted to welcome Neil to the IOG board,” Fiona MacAulay, independent non-executive chair of IOG, said in a company statement.
“He joins the company at an important and exciting time and we firmly believe that his long track record and well established technical and commercial expertise will be hugely helpful as we continue to make positive progress at our core SNS project and look forward to the Harvey appraisal well due to spud in July,” MacAulay added.
Back in March, IOG announced the appointment of Esa Ikaheimonen to the board of the company as a senior independent non-executive director. Ikaheimonen has over 25 years of oil and gas industry experience.
In December last year, IOG announced the appointment of Fiona MacAulay as independent non-executive chair of the board. Fiona succeeded Mark Routh, who joined as CEO in 2011. Fiona joined the IOG board in July 2018 as a senior independent non-executive director.
IOG is a UK based development and production operator with established interests in ten UK North Sea licenses, according to its website. The company was established in February 2011.
