Halliburton Names New Western Hemisphere President
In the latest of many executive changes in recent months, Halliburton Co. named a new president of the Western Hemisphere.
Halliburton promoted Mark Richard, who previously served as vice president of the Northern Region, to president of the Western Hemisphere. His role will take effect Feb. 1.
Richard has been with Halliburton since 1984 and began working in the Gulf of Mexico. He succeeds Jim Brown.
Richard’s “success in managing multiple regions around the world, his substantial industry knowledge and established customer relationships well position him to guide the strategic direction and operations of our Western Hemisphere business,” Halliburton CEO Jeff Miller said in a company statement. “Over the course of his more than 30-year career at Halliburton, [Richard] has proven himself to be an exceptional leader and valued member of our executive management team.”
In November, Halliburton named a new CFO – the second in 17 months. And less than two weeks ago, Halliburton’s chairman and former CEO Dave Lesar stepped down from his position as chairman, ending a 25-year career with the company.
