Gulf Keystone Petroleum Names CFO
Gulf Keystone Petroleum Limited has appointed Ian Weatherdon as its CFO, the company announced Monday.
Weatherdon is an international oil and gas industry veteran of more than 25 years and succeeds Sami Zouari who will step down as CFO of Gulf Keystone on Dec. 2, 2019.
Weatherdon most recently served as CFO of Sino Gas & Energy Holdings Limited, an energy company focused on developing natural gas assets in China. He’s also held various executive roles at other companies.
“Following a thorough search process, I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Weatherdon as CFO,” said Gulf Keystone chairman Jaap Huijskes. “Ian brings a wealth of highly relevant finance experience within the sector to the management team, and to the board. We look forward to him joining the team and to his contribution.”
Weatherdon will join Gulf Keystone’s board and assume role as CFO on Jan. 13, 2020.
Gulf Keystone is an independent oil and gas producer focused on the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
