GreenGasUSA Partners with Wayne-Sanderson Farms for RNG Production

GreenGasUSA has agreed to collaborate with Wayne-Sanderson Farms on the production of renewable natural gas (RNG) at the latter’s facilities across the United States. The two companies said in a media release that they aim to leverage existing wastewater treatment and biogas assets to bring pipeline-quality RNG to the market.

Currently, GreenGasUSA has five operational RNG facilities, as well as one carbon dioxide (CO2) facility, and is actively developing additional RNG and CO2 facilities across the U.S. Wayne-Sanderson Farms is the nation’s third-largest poultry producer owning and operating 23 fresh and further-processing facilities across Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and Texas.

The companies aim to expand their collaboration by identifying and developing new RNG facilities at additional Wayne-Sanderson Farms poultry processing sites. The focus will be on locations with the greatest potential to reduce methane emissions and those that can efficiently integrate liquid CO2 recovery systems.

The deal with Wayne-Sanderson Farms follows GreenGasUSA’s deal with Darling Ingredients Inc. to produce RNG and capture CO2 from wastewater streams at Darling’s facilities in the U.S.
