Forum Energy Technologies Suspends Manufacturing at Oil Equipment Facility
Market conditions have prompted the company to suspend manufacturing.

Forum Energy Technologies (FET), a global oilfield products company with headquarters in Houston, will be suspending manufacturing at its torque tools and equipment facility in Aberdeenshire, a company spokesperson confirmed to Rigzone.

The action will result in workforce redundancies of 13 people, said the spokesperson, who cited “market conditions” as the reason for the suspension.

Forum’s facility will still continue servicing clients even though manufacturing has ceased.

“We’re committed to supporting our people through this process and will provide alternative roles where we can [in the company],” said the spokesperson.

The company will also offer outplacement support to affected employees.

FET was formed in 2010 through the merging of five companies: Forum Oilfield Technologies, Triton Group, Subsea Services International, Global Flow Technologies and Allied Technology.
